Session 1 for both strands will begin with researchers from the Search Institute and the Center for the Developing Adolescent at UCLA presenting their findings and recommendations, followed by smaller group working sessions. Strand A will focus on developing action steps that lead to practical, research-based strategies on the school and systems levels. Strand B will focus on developing a range of tools and projects to be chosen by participants.

Session 2 (strands A & B combined) will explore the collective insights that have come out of the first sessions. Participants will share what was learned and discuss next steps in small breakout rooms. This reflective session will help to connect systemic ideas with the reality of individual classroom practices and ensure that educator, student, and family voices play an important role in designing next steps for policymakers.

Attendees should plan to attend both sessions in their strand.
